  • Responsibilities

    As a Naval Architect you will be able to join every phase of our projects. In the proposal phase, this means that you conduct feasibility studies on possible salvage solutions. Additionally drawings and figures are to be drafted to explain our salvage methodology. In the operational phase, you are expected to travel for periods of approximately 6 weeks to a project location for technical support. Outside of the salvage project, it is expected that you creatively assist in Research and Development activities for the creation or modification of our own equipment or assets.

  • Key accountabilities

    • Have the ability to travel to projects globally
    • Be a skilled AutoCAD user
    • Be able to translate ideas and plans to structured drawings and reports
    • Write in academic English for commercial proposals and reports
    • Conduct structural analysis of both wreck and equipment on deck
    • Conduct stability analysis for salvage operations
    • Draft lifting plans for heavy lift operations
    • Assist our fleet management for technical support such as drawings and calculations for Class
    • (preferably) Be capable of using HECSALV software for calculations and reporting
    • (optionally) be capable of doing FEM analysis and validate such
  • Skills & Experience

    • Bachelor or Master degree in Naval Architecture or similar
    • General ship design knowledge and practical experience in hydrostatics, ship strength and damage stability
    • Academic level of English and preferably Dutch, both verbally and in writing
    • Competencies: accurate, critical, creative, team player, decisive and structured
    • Driver license B and have their own transport
    • > 5 years of experience
