Job description
As a Demolition Worker, you play a crucial role in carrying out various tasks on-site, focusing on the safe and efficient execution of demolition work. You work under the supervision of the site manager and, together with your team, ensure the smooth completion of assignments. This role requires a hands-on mentality, a good understanding of safety procedures, and a willingness to perform physically demanding work.
Responsibilities
- Dismantling industrial objects using hand tools and small machines
- Identifying and removing asbestos, for example, with the help of detection equipment
- Removing asbestos from surfaces, walls, and structures using various hand tools and power tools (e.g., vacuum cleaners, scrapers)
- Safely packaging, transporting, and disposing of asbestos
- Maintaining tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborating with colleagues and the site manager to achieve project goals within set deadlines and quality standards
Skills & Experience
- Relevant work experience in the construction or demolition sector
- An Asbestos Remediation diploma is a plus
- VCA Basic Safety Certificate
- Knowledge of industrial demolition and asbestos removal
- Good command of the Dutch language
- Possession of a category B driving license
- A proactive attitude
