Responsibilities
- Performing work safely according to the work and safety plan
- Keeping correct records of man-machine running hours
- Keeping a record of machine inspections
- Regularly inspecting the assigned machine for defects and flaws. You report any defects and failures to the foreman or head of workplace
- You identify problem situations and errors and report them to the foreman
- Ensuring the safety of yourself, colleagues and third parties. This requires proper communication
Key Accountabilities
As a crane operator you take care of the use and operation of the crane (wire crane, hoist crane, grab crane, scissor crane or shovel). You will operate according to the work and safety plan. You also take care of the proper maintenance of the cranes before and during use. Think of lubrication, cleaning of the interior and exterior. You ensure proper operation of your assigned equipment.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum of secondary vocational education (VMBO) level
- Machinist training (TCVT) or relevant work experience of at least 2 years
- Dragline experience is preferable
- SCC (VCA) basic certificate is required
- Interest in working internationally
